Unexpected visit from Colin Kenny-Levick

Given the current situation with COVID in Australian and Western Australia’s quarantine regime along with “snap” lockdowns possibly happening just around the corner it was a huge surprise that the President of the NSW Valiant Car Club, Colin Kenny-Levick dropped past Jim’s house to say hello, while doing a quick fly-in/fly-out business trip.

I received a message on a late Saturday evening from Michael Barker saying the Colin has just dropped in and will be at Jim’s tomorrow and did I want to drop past and say hello. Jim mentioned to Michael that I was needing to get my handbrake adjusted so he thought it would be good to bring my car over and we can fix it at the same time.

It was great to hear all the stories that he used to get up to and talking about everything Valiant over a cup of tea and some biscuits. Colin was particular interested in Jim’s Q-Series and of course exploring Jim “Aladdin’s Cave” garage. I was not able to stay all afternoon, so I had to leave the guys rummaging through Valiant memorabilia in Jim’s living room out the back of his house. I can only guess that went on for the next hour or so!
