Garage Day at Paul's Place!
Martin Wood
With some members away for the Nationals, we decided not to have a car run but instead some of us went to new member Paul Ferguson’s home in Riverton to spend a few hours helping him put his ‘S’ Series back together after he stripped it for a re-paint.
Jim, Clint, Neal and boys, Michael Barker, John & Ruth and myself set about re-assembling doors and sorting out the parts that Paul had meticulously packaged and labeled when he stripped his car. Although we didn’t achieve a lot as the painter wants to buff it before chrome, door handles, etc. are put on.
The ‘S’ looks very good with its light blue paintwork and should come up really nice when completed.
Paul was very organised with morning tea and a BBQ lunch for us all, it was very much appreciated.
We were also treated to a view of Paul’s latest restoration job – a 1960 BSA motor cycle and it looks and sounds superb.
Hopefully we will be able to assist Paul with fitting up etc. once the painter has finished.
